Why SnapPlus 3?
Software has a life cycle. SnapPlus 2 first came out in 2013 and was built on the technology available at the time, largely reproducing the original SnapPlus program’s 2005 look and feel. It’s high time to take what we and the industry have learned in that time and build a new program.
SnapPlus 3 will work faster and more reliably. The new code is built from the ground up to be verifiably correct, and to allow programmers to add new features without the fear of breaking existing ones. SnapPlus stakeholders and users are driving the design of the new program, to ensure that the program addresses “pain points” in the current software, efficiently does what planners need without burying them in confusing visual noise, yet is familiar enough that SnapPlus 2 users will be able to transition easily.
