SnapPlus 16.2 Beta is available for download and installation onto Windows Vista through 10.

Version 16.2 was released to general availability on October 26, 2016.

SnapPlus 16.2 Beta is installed as an entirely separate Windows program from any existing SnapPlusV2 or SnapPlusV2Alpha programs. You may run SnapPlus 2/14/15 and SnapPlus 16.0 Beta side-by-side. While you can use existing SnapPlus databases from older versions, it is highly recommended that you copy your farm database to C:\SnapPlus2Beta\MySnapPlusData for use with the Beta version and do a SnapShot as soon as it opens.

Users of previous Beta 16 versions are strongly advised to upgrade to take advantage of important bug fixes. The issue that caused us to release SnapPlus 16.3 does not affect the Beta; 16.2 is fine.

Important Note for SnapMaps

This Beta has been modified to use the “production” SnapMaps website, the same one that the “release” SnapPlus 16 uses. It is not guaranteed to continue working correctly when SnapMaps 17 is released in the summer of 2017; there may be soils data, model, and communication-protocol updates that break interoperability with SnapPlus 15.1 and SnapPlus Beta 16.0. For best results with SnapMaps, always use the current SnapPlus version.

If you need to use the Beta going forward, be sure to download and install the version linked above if you haven’t already. Older betas connected to a testing-only SnapMaps site and any tile lines, exclusion areas, and concentrated flow channels you create on that site may be lost when we rework that site in preparation for the next SnapPlus/SnapMaps release.

Computer Requirements

SnapPlus requires Microsoft Windows; Windows Vista is the earliest supported version for the Beta.  See Minimum System Requirements for details.

How to Install

SnapPlus uses a standard Windows installer and will install .NET 4.6, the Microsoft SQL Server CLR Types (not the entire SQL Server product) and Microsoft ReportViewer if needed. This requires Windows admin privileges. A typical install should take just a few minutes. See our quick guide to installing for more details on installing SnapPlus. Note that this is the last SnapPlus release that will support Windows Vista.
